We are hiring RBTs/DSPs to provide supports to individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities who may be dually diagnosed and have forensic concerns. Our EBSH (Enhanced Behavior Support Home) in the Vacaville/Fairfield area has availability for the following 40 hr. shifts: (Thursday-Monday) 7:00am-3:00pm (Friday-Tuesday) 7:00am-3:00pm (Friday-Tuesday) 3:00pm-11:00pm
Responsibilities:
Attend to the needs of each resident, including encouraging and/or assisting them with grooming, bathing, hygiene, and communicating other individual needs they may have
Support the needs and goals of each resident.
Assist with medications and follow the Seven Rights for verification purposes.
Provide supervision during community and recreational outings.
Prepare meals and store food in compliance with all regulations and program outline.
Assist with maintenance and sanitation of home and surroundings.
Record data and maintain files regarding residents’ health, progress, and special incidents, as outlined in Title 17, Title 22, and the Place of Grace Home program design.
Must competently use Nonviolent Crisis Intervention skills to manage individual’s assaultive, SIB, property destruction, PICA or other behaviors.
Advocate on behalf of the resident; uphold respectful and efficient communication with residents and all relevant parties.
Understand organizations and support systems relating to resident’s life.
Dress according to dress code and safety purposes.
Attend ALL required trainings and staff meetings.
Requirements:
Excellent communication skills; respectful and positive attitude toward residents, co-workers, consultants, and home visitors.
Must have a minimum of six months experience providing direct supervision or special services for persons with Developmental Disabilities.
Must be in good health, which will be verified by a physical health screening, including a test for tuberculosis.
Work weekend, holiday, and overnight shifts as necessary/required.
Must maintain RBT certification via BCBA supervision
Must be able to meet Title 22 requirements, including, but not limited to:
Minimum age of 18
Proof of High school diploma or GED certificate
Health screening and TB clearance
Fingerprinting and DOJ/FBI criminal record clearance
CPR and First Aid training certificate
Valid California Driver’s license
Clean driving record
