    Job Description: Growing Home Care Agency Seeking RN with Part Time/ Flexible Schedule for Gastonia and Surrounding Areas

    RN Service Supervisor for Visiting Angels, Gastonia, NC – Non-medical in-home care for Seniors and Adults!!

Position manages a team of para-professional caregivers providing non-medical ADL assistance to clients. RN responsible for non-medical POC, supervises aides remotely. Responsible for continuing education, case management and recruiting along with office team staff.     Job Summary: The RN Service Supervisor is a health care professional member of the care team who develops the client’s non-medical Plan of Care (POC), provides Case Management and supervises caregivers in the execution of the clients POC. We are looking for someone part time that can assist with nursing administrative tasks, New client assessments, Orientation training, (as needed) and Quarterly visits with clients.

    Qualifications:

    Degree from an accredited nursing school required

    Current unrestricted registered nurse (R.N.) license in NC

    3+ years geriatric experience

    Minimum 2+ years management/supervisory experience including staff development, managing remote workforce a plus

    Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with clients, families and caregivers with diverse backgrounds

    Strong computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office and Gmail

    General Duties and Responsibilities:

    Developing the Plan of Care (POC) in conjunction with the Care Recipient, Care Recipient’s Family. Reviewing the POCs as needed but at least every 90 days.

    Assessing new hires and supervising Caregivers, performing on-site evaluations to evaluate the scope and quality of care given the client along with 90 day and annual Performance Reviews

    Provide guidance to Care Recipient/Family in maintaining ADL functions in a safe and appropriate environment.

    Perform initial Care Recipient/Family interview and assess Care Recipient needs. Identify skills and personality necessary for a successful caregiver relationship. Set service expectations with Care Recipient/Family.

    Make monthly client contacts.

    Assist Scheduling Coordinator in appropriate Caregiver assignments based on skills and personality

    Provide guidance to caregivers regarding Care Recipient questions and needs

    Provide periodic in-service training modules to caregivers.

    Provide several weekdays and one weekend on-call phone support a month.

    Responsible for oversight of adherence to NC Division of Health Service Regulation rules and requirements.

    Jointly with the Director shall prepare a Comprehensive Agency Evaluation on an annual basis.

    Jointly with the Director shall review policies and procedures on a periodic or as needed basis.

    Recommend and implement training and development programs for Caregiver Staff.

    Be available to come to office or work from the field as needed and occasional work from home days.

    Help answer phones and respond to clients needs.

    Schedule:

    3-5 days a week

    15-25 hours a week
