Animal Care Services, located in Riverside County, California, offers veterinary care, boarding and grooming services for the residents of Norco and surrounding areas. What we expect from you:
· Be punctual.
· Be able to demonstrate competency in all domains of veterinary nursing which includes Pharmacy and Pharmacology, Surgical Nursing, Dentistry, Laboratory Procedures, Animal Care and Nursing, Diagnostic Imaging, Anesthesia, Emergency and Critical Care, Pain Management and Analgesia.
· Promote and maintain a culture of collaboration, by exhibiting a professional attitude, through positive mentoring and effective communication.
· Be a competent multi-tasker, organizer and understand the importance of maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
· Handle stress and pressure with poise and tact
· Be familiar with practice management software.
· Be knowledgeable with Word and Excel and know how to maintain accurate medical records.
· Emulate the practice’s objective of exceeding patient care and client service expectations.
· Maintain strict confidentiality regarding clients and patients for whom the practice provides boarding, grooming and veterinary services.
· Promote a collaborative, supportive, working environment and encourage the value of teamwork to maintain cohesiveness and personal growth.
· Participate in regularly scheduled team meetings.
Responsibilities:
· Become familiar with and follow established policies and procedures and ensure your team does the same.
· Maintain accurate and timely patient medical records.
· Effectively manage patient care as assigned and in accordance with the veterinarian’s orders.
· Complete all daily nursing duties and additional projects/tasks as directed by the nursing leads.
· Perform all essential skills as is expected of an RVT and within the scope of practice.
· Assist in the mentoring and training of VAs, CVAs and newly graduated technicians.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Current California RVT license (required)
A minimum of 3-years’ experience in clinical practice
AA/AS degree (preferred)
