Position Overview:
We are seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) or Rehab Director to join a hospital-based inpatient, outpatient and home health rehabilitation team in Ashland, KS. This is a full-time position involving a mix of inpatient and outpatient therapy services. We are looking for candidates with strong experience in rehab management, but we are also open to considering highly motivated new graduates who have a strong desire to grow and develop in a leadership role.

Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Assess, treat, and develop individualized treatment plans for patients based on their specific needs.
- Documentation: Complete all required documentation of patient evaluations, treatments, and progress in accordance with state and organizational guidelines.
- Program Development: Plan, market, and develop new therapy programs to improve patient outcomes and address the needs of the community.
- Leadership & Staff Management: Supervise and mentor therapy staff, ensuring effective staffing levels, performance evaluations, and staff development.
- Operational Support: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the rehabilitation department, including budgeting, scheduling, and maintaining high standards of care and efficiency.
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with patients, their families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care.
- Quality Assurance & Compliance: Ensure that all therapy services comply with policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements.
- Staff Education: Conduct in-service training and educational sessions for staff to foster continuous learning and professional growth.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: Must be a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) with a Bachelor’s (B.A., B.S.), Master’s (M.A., M.S.), or Doctorate (DPT) in Physical Therapy.
- Experience: Experience is strongly preferred for this role, especially in managing rehabilitation departments and providing inpatient/outpatient therapy services. However, new graduates with a strong desire to grow and take on leadership responsibilities will also be considered.
- Licensure: Must possess or be eligible for state licensure in Iowa.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to supervise, mentor, and lead a team while maintaining high standards of patient care and staff development.
- Team-Oriented: Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
