    BOARDING & DAYCARE MANAGER Job Description

    The BOARDING & DAYCARE MANAGER plays a vital role in our facility by fostering a positive work culture, enhancing animal care standards, and ensuring operational excellence. This position oversees kennel business activities, including staff management, budgeting, performance analysis, inventory control, safety protocols, and online presence management. The Manager sets the tone for workplace culture by communicating values, fostering staff morale, providing training, offering feedback, and promoting teamwork. Collaboration with leadership is key to maintaining high standards and driving continuous improvement in the canine care industry.

    The BOARDING & DAYCARE MANAGER plays a vital role in our facility and requires strong leadership skills, managerial experience in the petcare industry, and a passion for animal welfare. Key responsibilities include analyzing data to drive operational programs, making sound decisions, managing and coaching staff, demonstrating compassion towards clients and animals, and excelling in communication, emotional intelligence, and budgeting. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in a related field, has at least five years of petcare experience, and possesses exceptional emotional intelligence, problem-solving abilities, and client service dedication.

    Essential Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Canine Rehabilitation or related field, or equivalent experience

    • At least five years of experience in the Petcare profession

    • Demonstrated emotional intelligence and perspective-taking

    • Proven hands-on management style with proactive problem-solving skills

    • Dedication to outstanding client service and compassion towards clients and animals

    • Leadership style that empowers staff and promotes team cohesion

    • Proficiency in setting priorities

    • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel/spreadsheet proficiency
