    • It is expected that this individual will be onsite in Taylor Texas a minimum of 2 days per week or more based on business needs

    • Starting range $66+/hr, DOE

      Responsibilities:

      Provides support, oversight, administration, and facilitation of changes that affect ERCOT facilities, infrastructure, hardware, operating systems, database platforms, firmware, network, and software environments for 24/7 IT Operations. Ensure audit tracking, reliability, availability, correct functionality, system integrity, and risk mitigation in ERCOT’s IT Service Delivery model by coordinating, communicating, and recording changes to ERCOT’s non-development environments. [Coordinates & facilitates all ERCOT Software, Hardware, and Infrastructure code and configuration changes.]

      Essential Job Duties:

      Organize and facilitate effective release planning meetings.

      Managing release schedules, and/or key infrastructure initiatives across multiple applications.

      Planning, managing, and executing release cycles, including tracking release deliverables, functional/security test sign-offs, and leading release efforts for non-prod and prod deployments.

      Prepare release plans for various applications, track and maintain them.

      Review release plans, change requests in release pipelines

      Coordinate release builds to the appropriate environments (Testing, Production, etc.)

      Perform data analysis using SQL for generating release metrics and scorecards

      Assist the team in establishing a consistent and predictable release cadence

      Standardization of release process across IT applications by working with various stakeholders

      Cross functional dependency management mapping for various releases and maintenance of the same

      Collaborate with release leads/managers to deliver a comprehensive plan and ensure delivery excellence across the application portfolio.

      Flexibility to work outside of business hours as needed to support release deployments.

      Providing support to the Change Advisory Board (CAB) as needed

      Education:

      Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering or related field or six years applicable experience is required.

      ITIL V4 certification (Preferred)

      Work Experience:

      Minimum 3 years experience in IT Change and Release Management

      Minimum of five (5) years (in excess of degree requirements stated above) of progressively responsible experience in system integration processes

      Understanding of ITIL Best Practices in IT Service Management (Change/Release/Incident/Problem) Management

      Working knowledge with tools like Jira, Confluence, Service Now

      Cloud infrastructure knowledge/experience is a plus

      SQL/VB Scripting/Data Analysis knowledge is a plus
