    Job Description

    The Reliability Engineering Manager has overall responsibility for site and engineering activity, to include all safety, quality, continuous process improvement efforts. Responsible for leading and supervising a team of engineers as they develop, test, modify, and create solutions to technical problems and customer concerns.

    • Direct and coordinate activities of CRE’s to ensure customer contract product and services are fulfilled.
    • Perform personnel functions, such as selection, training, evaluation, coaching, and counseling
    • Plan, prepare and deploy departmental budget and manage processes to forecast expenses, explain variances and mitigate negative variances.
    • Review financial statements, activity reports, or other performance data to measure productivity or goal achievement and identify areas needing cost reduction or program improvement.
    • Actively participate in the development and implementation of John Crane strategic initiatives and objectives.
    • Drive engineering performance improvement through the use of appropriate KPI’s
    • Actively promote Environmental, Health & Safety throughout the business, ensuring EHS is a goal for all employees and ensure all EHS requirements are fulfilled in accordance with defined responsibilities.
    • Work with cross-functional teams including customer and supplier representatives to resolve product related issues and improvement opportunities.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering required, ME preferred.
    • Minimum 3 to 5 years increasingly responsible professional experience in plant process systems and equipment operation or design knowledge is required.
    • Supervisory experience with direct reports is preferred.
    • Solid multi-project management skills and experience required
    • Effective communication skills both written and verbal, strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
    • Proven track record of driving change and achieving results is preferred.
    • Experience working in a diverse environment and managing multiple sites is a plus.

    Pay Range: $95,000 — 130,000
