Compensation: $21.00-$28.00 (DOE).
Sign-on Bonus: $1,000, paid after 90 days of employment. Location-Hospice House in Bend, Oregon. Shift: Offer a minimum of 5 Night shifts per month. Hours 6:30 pm-to 6:30 am (12-hour shifts)
What You Get To Do:
Provide personal care as outlined in the plan of care, maintaining patient privacy while demonstrating sensitivity to patient comfort and privacy.
Assess the patient's ability to tolerate treatment before beginning care. Assess patient condition aftercare.
Coordinate with a care manager or registered nurse to ensure the care plan is updated and accurate and report any changes in patient condition, including applicable documentation.
Assist the patient with all aspects of personal care, ambulation, and positioning as required and guide the family/caregiver regarding the patient's personal care.
At Hospice House, prepare meals, serve according to policy and procedure, and assist with feeding as required. Perform housekeeping services that are necessary for the health and safety of the patient/family/caregiver.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Valid CNA License.
Ability to pass a background test, drug screen, and TB test.
Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
One to two years of recent medical care experience in an institutional setting is preferred. Ideal candidates will possess 1-2 years of home health or hospice experience.
Current automobile insurance is required. A valid Oregon driver's license and reliable transportation.
Valid CPR Certification.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
