Compensation: $40.00-$58.67 (DOE). Differentials $5/hour nights & $2/hour weekend.
Location: Bend, Oregon
Hours: 7 pm-7 am. Must offer a minimum of five-night shifts per month (casual).
What You Get To Do:
Apply nursing principles and techniques in the treatment of patients. Provide nursing care, emotional support, and patient/family/ caregiver education. Maintain strict confidentiality of patient, family, and caregiver information.
Is responsible for the implementation and continued development of the patient care plan and physician's plan of treatment and is responsible for the patient's case management.
Follow the guidelines for universal precautions when providing patient care and demonstrate proper techniques in the application of infection control standards.
Maintain records of services performed and of the apparent condition of the patient, using documentation guidelines and standards set forth by the organization.
Communicate with physicians and others as needed to coordinate and ensure high-quality care. Communicate on a regular basis with all staff/volunteers regarding patient status.
Demonstrate a working knowledge of the dying process and recognize the importance of maintaining professional boundaries.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Valid Oregon Registered Nurse License.
Ability to pass a background test, drug screen, and TB test.
Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
One to two years of recent medical care experience in an institutional setting is preferred. Ideal candidates will possess 1-2 years of home health or hospice experience.
Current automobile insurance is required. A valid Oregon driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Valid CPR Certification.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
