    Job Description

    AECOM is actively seeking a Remediation and Sustainability intern in the Chelmsford or Boston, MA office.

    This position is expected to begin in June 2025.

    The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

    • Utilize basic scientific and technical principles, theories, practices and existing technologies to assist in developing solutions for technical problems with limited scope.
    • Perform Sustainable Remediation Best Management Practices Checklist for projects in the remediation practice.
    • Interpret and record analytical and field data, perform statistical and other data analysis, assist with data visualization tasks.
    • Assist with preparation of technical reports, summarizing findings and recommending remedial actions.
    • Conduct field assignments, such as: soil, groundwater, surface water and/or soil-gas/indoor air sampling, well surveying, construction oversight, soil/bedrock drilling oversight.
    • Work under supervision of a project manager, technical lead, or other experienced team member.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Must have three years of study degree in relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Sustainability, Statistics/Data Science, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Geology, or a related field).
    • Due to the nature of the work, U.S. Citizenship is required.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with data analysis, data science, statistical analysis, and data visualization.
    • Strong organizational, time-management, and written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
