You are great at reading blueprints and have excellent hand dexterity, with a can-do attitude. Responsibilities: • Build door and window frames, stairways, rafters, and partitions • Inspect, maintain and repair structures • Measure, cut, shape, and smooth carpentry materials • Check existing sketches and blueprints to understand project requirements • Ensure roofing, floorings, and drywall are compatible and level • Clear the construction site from any waste, debris, or dangerous materials before starting work in San Jose, CA • Arrange and stack all essential building materials and tools for easy access throughout the project • Assist onsite workers as needed to ensure the successful completion of all tasks • Strictly follow all health and safety regulations on-site to maintain a secure working environment for yourself and colleagues Qualifications: • Deep knowledge of carpentry materials, tools, and techniques • Must have valid driver’s license • Great physical condition and dexterity • We prefer if you have a high school diploma or GED • Candidate must have successfully completed a carpentry apprenticeship • Skilled in using rollers and brushes for painting tasks • Proficient in hanging drywall with precision • Capable of matching textures effectively • Experienced in light carpentry work like installing baseboards, door trims, and cabinets • Knowledge of finished plumbing is a bonus, though not mandatory • Ownership of a truck and essential tools is required • Ability to lift objects weighing up to 60 lbs Compensation: $28 - $38 hourly
