We’re looking for an experienced construction project manager who can lead our team to success! You’ll oversee the entire construction project, making sure it’s completed correctly and on time. Our ideal candidate will be an effective problem-solver who loves motivating people and thrives on achievement. If you’re ready to lead an extraordinary team where you can take ownership from start to finish, let’s talk. Start your application today! Responsibilities: • Manage general contractors and construction workers and give guidance as needed to ensure high-quality project performance • Prevent injuries, slowdowns, and project risks by demanding complete adherence to health and safety standards on construction sites, and reporting safety regulation issues promptly • Plan and schedule the entire construction project, including construction operations and timelines to make sure project deadlines are met • Keep key stakeholders informed of the project’s status by producing frequent progress reports • Determine the project deliverables and specifications, including the project scope, necessary project resources, and estimated labor needed by collaborating with clients, engineers, and architects • Conduct business with external vendors, contractors, and critical subcontractors to negotiate profitable contracts • Implement systems to organize tools, vehicles, and equipment, and schedule maintenance for them if necessary • As a design-build firm, it is rare that we have all of the information finalized at the start of the project, and we will lean on the project manager to take the lead on soliciting and reviewing bids, negotiating with potential trade contractors, and solidifying trade agreements. • More important than what we are looking for is what we are NOT looking for, and that is a traditional, old-school project manager who looks to be spoon-fed information "from the office." • Our vision for this position is that while it is field-focused, it is expected that this person will be an integral part of the office staff in preparing and managing the project(s). • We are not a "self-perform" construction company, but those who work here are true "builders"; thus, hands-on construction experience is a must as there are times when we grab our tools and get our hands dirty. • We utilize a construction management software called JobTread. While we feel it is superior, it is similar to BuilderTrend, ProCore, or Co-Construct. Nearly every aspect of what you will do in this position will be centered around the effective use of JobTread, so strong computer skills are a must. • We have established relationships with many of our trade partners and hope to continue those relationships; however, we will be looking to you to not only continue to foster those relationships but to have an ever-forward outlook on establishing new relationships with high-quality trade partners • Jobsite cleanliness is one of our Core Values; therefore, the establishment and enforcement of that culture will be expected. Qualifications: • Superb leadership capability, organizational skills, time-management abilities, and communication skills • Knowledge of the construction industry and the entire building process, including building permits, blueprints, building codes, construction equipment, material resources, construction methods, and project management principles • Experience using construction or project management software preferred • Four-year college degree in engineering, construction management, or other similar fields • PMP certification is a plus • Reliable transportation is a must. A pickup truck is a big plus, though it is not required. • It is very important to note that the available salary range is largely going to be based on tangible and identifiable experience and not simply on how long a candidate has been in the industry. The higher end salary range will be reserved for candidates who are able to bring extensive experience in all areas noted within this job posting and within a short amount of time be able to positively contribute and operate with little to no guidance from me within the confines of our Core Values. Compensation: $75,000 - $100,000 yearly
