    Job Description

    The Educational Technologist is responsible for day-to-day technical and operational administration of the organization’s Learning Management System (LMS)

    • Audit and monitor data integrity within the Learning Management System (LMS).
    • Create and manage training on the Learning Management System.
    • Perform proactive, ongoing evaluations of LMS and related processes to identify areas in need of improvement.
    • Educate supervisor in an accurate, brief, and timely manner of any irresolute issues.
    • Manage the integration and use of third-party applications within the LMS.
    • Support both students and faculty in a timely manner.
    • Liaise with LMS vendors to pursue functional improvement and technical issues within the system.
    • Liaise with third-party vendors to optimize LMS integrations and resolve issues in a timely manner.
    • Collect and analyze customer feedback and follow-up where appropriate to ensure end-user satisfaction with the LMS and third-party applications.
    • Communicate LMS issues and updates to end-users.
    • Contribute to the development of a knowledge base with known solutions for LMS or third-party vendor technology solutions.
    • Administer evaluations and communications within the LMS.
    • Pull reports, data, and other helpful information from third-party vendor or learning management system to support academic operations.
    • Collaborate with instructional designers to build or revise course content in the LMS.
    • Create learning materials and objects to support online and hybrid course delivery methods as requested.
    • Suggest, evaluate, and implement new technologies that support online and hybrid delivery formats.
    • Support accessibility measure and student accommodations as appropriate.
    • Assist/lead special projects related to the LMS or third-party integrated educational technology.
    • Assist with the setup of courses in preparation for new academic terms.
    • Perform day-to-day administration and management of the company's LMS.
    • Alternative duties and tasks as designated.

    Pay Starting at $25/hr

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Educational Technology or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Two years of related experience in managing technology resources related to learning management systems, including evaluating effectiveness for end users and planning for future improvements.
    • Knowledge of learning management systems and third-party teaching and learning tools.
    • Experience in training and learning design and development.
    • Experience working with Learning Management Systems.
    • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
    • Ability to analyze information, document conclusions, and develop recommendations.
    • Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical personnel.
    • Must have a strong familiarity with recognized E-learning technical standards.
    • Ability to adapt and handle multiple projects with different priority levels.
    • Support center experience.
    • Experience with e-learning concepts and tools.
    • Instructional design knowledge.
    • Excellent written communication, analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Hands-on knowledge of authoring technologies.
    • Understanding of the higher education industry and the regulatory agencies.
    • Prior experience directing, implementing, and maintaining technology-based training/distance learning programs for a geographically dispersed workforce.
    • Experience in IT application programming or data and systems integration.
    • Experience in project management.
    • Prior experience with multi-media.
