  • Responsibilities

    Renewable Properties is seeking to bring on an experienced and talented Financial Reporting & Audit Associate to effectively collaborate and support the Company's accounting, reporting, and auditing functions. The candidate will provide support across a wide range of accounting and reporting processes and be integral in the Company's corporate finance function. This candidate will be responsible for preparing quarterly financial statements and supporting the execution and facilitation of external audits. A successful candidate will have experience building and managing consolidated financials and reporting processes, experience in managing audit requests for numerous reporting entities, and a background in creating accounting schedules / roll-forwards to assist in year-end audits.

    This is a unique opportunity to play a critical role in developing Renewable Properties' success during this exciting time of rapid growth in a changing and impactful industry. This is a full-time role and ideally based on the West Coast. This position requires a hands-on accountant with a strong understanding of financial reporting and a passion for renewable energy.

    Key Responsibilities

    - Assist in preparing quarterly financial reporting for multiple entities: Project-level reporting, Entity-level reporting and Consolidated-level reporting.

    - Support the annual audit and tax reporting process.

    - Prepare and manage numerous supporting schedules and roll-forwards for various financial accounts and transactions, including fixed assets, investments, leases, debt, equity, revenue / Accounts Receivable, cost of goods sold, capitalized labor calculations and intercompany reporting.

    - Assist in the consolidation of numerous entities, including preparing eliminating journal entries.

    - Create and manage a tracking system for various project level financial reporting obligations.

    - Perform ad-hoc assignments as requested, along with job-related activities.

    Qualifications

    - Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required.

    - 2+ years of accounting experience (public accounting experience required).

    - Experience in preparing financial statement under US GAAP required.

    - Intermediate to advanced Excel skills required.

    - Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

    - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    - Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

    - High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.

    - Experience with QuickBooks Enterprise preferred.

    - Multi-entity accounting experience preferred.

    - Experience within the renewable energy industry a plus.
