Reptile Rapture is expanding again! As we expand our sales floor space, we will be bringing in more animals to care for and supplies to stock, which also means more staff!

At Reptile Rapture, we always put the care and well-being of our animals first. Not only through proper feeding and cleaning, but by ensuring that our customers are provided the most accurate caretaking information for their animals. We believe that that most effective way to properly care for our animals is by providing every resource necessary, whether it be information or products, to our customers.

As a small mom-and-pop pet shop, employees do a little bit of everything. Job requirements include but are not limited to:

• Must be 18 or older.
• Good attitude and presentable appearance.
• Customer service skills.
• Ability to Multitask.
• Attention to Detail.
• Good attendance - Animals require daily attention!
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Knowledge of animals is a plus, but not necessary - We'll train you!
• Animal Phobia Free - No arachnophobia, herpetophobia, entomophobia, and musophobia.

Some Job Duties include:

• Cleaning and feeding everyday.
• Assisting customers: Bagging feeder insects and rodents, cashiering, providing care instructions and product information.
• Stocking
• Shipping & Receiving
• Maintaining store appearance. Dusting, sweeping, mopping, etc.

With thousands of animals on-site, we, the staff, don't get to play with and handle the animals ourselves. Every animal deserves our affection, but spending too much with a single one leaves the others neglected. The best way to ensure these animals are love for is to make sure the customers have everything they need to do so themselves.

While we are happy to train new people on animal caretaking, we also pay based on experience. In other words, experience with reptiles and animals is a bonus!
