WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Fors Marsh is seeking an intelligent and motivated researcher with a background in quantitative social science to join our Military Recruiting Research team. This individual will work in a researcher role, providing expertise in the development, execution, and analysis of large-scale surveys for the Department of Defense. This work supports market research on effective outreach strategies and provides insight about the motivations and experiences of those who join the Military. The researcher's primary responsibilities will include conducting and reporting upon analyses of survey data, supporting questionnaire development and background research, dataset cleaning, content coding, report and briefing deck creation, responses to ad-hoc client requests, and communication of findings in an impactful way to non-technical audiences. This job is best suited for someone who enjoys market research, working collaboratively with team members and clients, consistently strives to improve, excels in quality control, and wants to use research to make an impact.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in psychology, marketing, economics, social science, statistics or related field required. Master's degree preferred.
A minimum of one to three years of post-graduate professional research experience, preferably in the area of market or communication research, decision-making, or social psychology.
Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to identify and communicate key findings from research to non-technical audiences.
Ability to work independently without close supervision and as a team member.
Excellent analytic and dataset manipulation skills (e.g., merging, recoding, cleaning) in at least one statistical software package (e.g., Stata, SPSS, SAS, R). Experience doing so via syntax-based commands is preferred.
Experience creating visual and written summaries of research results (e.g., in PowerPoint and Word) that can be understood by non-technical audiences.
Strong quantitative ability and a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
