    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    Araceli Biosciences has developed the first modern High Content Imaging platform capable of imaging and analyzing assay plates up to 40x faster than the current standard with industry leading image quality. Our customers use our platform to perform drug screens on larger libraries, under more conditions, in a fraction of the time they are used to.     Currently we are seeking a highly qualified Research Associate specializing in mammalian cell culture processes and preparation for use in high-throughput screening assays. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and >1-2 years of industry experience in biotechnology or pharmaceuticals. This role requires expertise in cell culture techniques, proficiency in both brightfield and fluorescent microscopy, and a strong background in general lab operations. Experience with cell-based screening is advantageous. This position will help us drive product innovation internally and support multiple interdisciplinary efforts in demonstrating and highlighting instrument capabilities.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Maintain cell lines and manage entire tissue culture process
    • Perform, assist in developing, and troubleshoot experimental workflows to support multiple concurrent projects
    • Perform routine laboratory activities such as stocking laboratory, preparing media and reagents, and equipment/glassware cleaning
    • Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment
    • Accurate and reliable recordkeeping of all laboratory functions including equipment, cell line, and experiment tracking using electronic database and lab notebook
    • Adhere to safety rules and procedures for conducting laboratory research
    • Written and verbal scientific communication of project updates, experimental plans and results
    • BS in Biology, Cell Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field
    • Demonstrated and proficient skills in mammalian cell culture procedures with strong aseptic technique for maintaining sterile cell cultures
    • Experience designing, performing cell-based screening assays preferred
    • Knowledge of GLP and lab safety procedures and guidelines
    • Ability to keep clear records of all experiments and laboratory operations
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and rigorous attention to detail
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across functional teams

    JOB LOCATION:

    7405 SW Tech Center Dr. A160, Tigard, OR 97223. This is an on-site position.
