    Job Description

    As the Research & Insights Contractor, you will provide coverage for the Research & Insights Lead in managing. You will conduct proactive audience research via a variety of methodologies to develop timely and actionable insights for teams across the company. You will work in partnership with sales, planning, editorial, and other departments throughout the company to conduct research relevant to their needs. In addition, you will manage audience surveys, focus groups, brand lift studies, and perform statistical analyses that inform the overall HCM strategy. This role reports to the Research and Insights Lead within the Integrated Marketing Strategy team.

    Responsibilities

    • Support the Research & Insights Lead in all HCM research activities

    • Conduct quantitative and qualitative Gen Z research for internal teams and clients, involving (but not limited to): instrument drafting, programming, data collection oversight, data cleaning, translation of raw data into clear deliverables

    • Serve as a resource for audience and industry news and trends; intake, organize, and share for relevant parties on a regular basis

    • Create presentation materials to support company B2B research & insights events such as GenZology (hercampusmedia.com/genzology)

    • Partner with other departments as needed to support research needs adjacent to Integrated Marketing functions

    • Support in maintenance of the Her Campus Media Research Hub, an internal resource that compiles all relevant Gen Z insights from internal and third-party research

    • Bachelor’s degree (or other college degree) with a focus in business, marketing/market research, psychology, statistics or sociology preferred.

    • 1-3 years of hands-on experience conducting primary research (agency or client-side)

    • Experience with both qualitative and quantitative research methods; strong analytical abilities

    • Experience programming, fielding and analyzing survey data via research fielding platforms like Survey Monkey and/or Qualtrics

    • Experience manipulating and working with data sets in Google Sheets

    • Hardworking, detail-oriented, efficient and creative work ethic, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and juggling multiple projects concurrently

    • Creative and deductive thinker with the ability to synthesize key insights from multiple sources into actionable insights

    Additional Information

    Salary Range: $30-32 per hours

    • Final salary offered to the candidate selected for the position will be based on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s skills, experience, and other factors.
