We are seeking a Research Scientist with experience in conducting research for neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease, to contribute to our groundbreaking R&D efforts.
Role Description:
We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Research Scientist to join our cutting-edge team at Bexorg, focusing on neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and ALS. The successful candidate will work on preclinical research projects aimed at identifying novel therapeutic targets and advancing drug discovery in CNS disorders. This is a hands-on lab-based role, ideal for a scientist with a strong background in biochemistry, molecular biology, cellular biology, and/or neurobiology.
Responsibilities:
- Design and execute in vitro and in vivo experiments to understand the molecular and cellular mechanisms of neurodegeneration.
- Develop and optimize assays to assess neurodegenerative pathways, such as mitochondrial dysfunction, lysosomal dysfunction, and neuroinflammation.
- Perform standard biochemistry and molecular biology techniques, including PCR, Western blotting, ELISA, and immunohistochemistry.
- Analyze and interpret experimental data, and prepare detailed technical reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including pharmacology and bioinformatics.
- Stay updated with the latest scientific literature and technology advancements in neurodegeneration research.
- Contribute to the preparation of scientific manuscripts, patent filings, and regulatory documents, as needed.
- Maintain a high level of laboratory safety and ensure compliance with company protocols and regulatory standards.
Preferred Education & Experience:
- B.Sc. with 3+ years of hands-on research experience in molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, and/or neurodegenerative disease biology, either in academia or industry.
- Strong data analysis skills and experience using statistical software.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented approach to experimental design and execution.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
