• USD Salary Range Transparency: $90,000.00 - $105,000.00 / year. Starting pay is commensurate with experience.

Cignal is an AI startup located in Reedsville, PA, which is on the outskirts of State College, PA, home of the Pennsylvania State University. We combine intelligence, AI/ML, and synthetic data tools to improve security in an evolving threat landscape. Cignal builds AI sandbox platforms to build and test machine vision applications and generative AI systems.

**What We Do:

Our patentedCignal Engine, a vital part of the Cignal Sandbox Platform, is a synthetic data generator that creates an unbounded universe of threat items, explosives, and stream of commerce items for AI screening applications. Cignal Engine is the high-performance image generator in Cignal OpenLane, which generates high-fidelity X-ray, X-ray CT, and Millimeter Wave screening data.

You Will:

• Implement algorithms for simulating wave phenomena (acoustic and electromagnetic), including generating quasi-optical images. A s trong mathematical foundation is crucial.
• Develop novel approaches for creating 3D shapes, materials, textures, and images using both algorithmic and generative AI techniques.
• Evaluate and validate AI/ML models.
• Collaborate with the team on model integration.

You Have:

• Exceptional mathematical abilities.
• Strong AI/ML and deep learning skills.
• Expertise in physics and mathematical modeling, including quasi-optical image generation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Bonus Points:

• 3D modeling/rendering experience.
• Experience in computer vision and image processing.
• Parallel computing/GPU programming knowledge.
• Wave propagation modeling software familiarity.
• Experience with acoustic and/or electromagnetic phenomena.
• Publications in related fields.
