    SUMMARY The Reservation Agent is responsible for taking and confirm reservations for Camp

    Margaritaville, Shoal Creek Campground and Harbor Landing Marina, as well as answering

    generic questions regarding the seasonal water park and winter park activities through the

    phone and through email. Candidates must have great phone and email manners, strong

    communication and customer service skills, and keen attention to detail.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Answer phone calls promptly and in a courteous manner when logged on the phones.

    • Respond to emails promptly and in a courteous manner

    • Assist guests with making, altering, or cancelling a reservation.

    • Be knowledgeable of all departments at Margaritaville Lanier Islands including Water

    Park, Harbor Landing, Port of Indecision Marina, Camp Margaritaville, Shoal Creek

    Campgrounds, and LandShark Bar & Grill.

    • Be familiar with Camp Margaritaville and Shoal Creek Campground site layout, rates,

    and any other information necessary to answer guest inquiries when booking a

    reservation.

    • Have a complete working knowledge of the reservation system used to make

    reservations.

    • Have a complete knowledge of our special rates and promotions for all departments at

    Margaritaville Lanier Islands and know which benefits are included in each.

    • Secure all required information from the guest when making a reservation or handling a

    guest complaint.

    • Understand and follow reservation policy pertaining to cancellations and no-shows and

    communicate them clearly to each guest when making a reservation.

    • Attend a weekly department meeting to review daily operations, new/or existing

    promotions and specials.

    • Create and maintain positive relationships with all other departments and know how

    they relate to the reservations department.

    • Perform daily office duties and any other projects assigned by managers.

    • Help with booking a birthday party at the park by getting basic information on date,

    time, package and number of guests.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    Prefer past computer or reservations experience. Previous customer service experience with

    excellent phone etiquette and verbal communication skills. Strong computer proficiency and

    email communication skills as well as strong attention to detail.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS

    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance

    instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

    Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

    REASONING ABILITY

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or

    oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in

    standardized situations.
