A reservationist is a personable, customer service orientated individual with a passion for delivering amazing service. The reservationist is responsible for ensuring reservations are booked and confirmed, with special requests addressed and communicated to servers, greeting customers upon arrival and upon leaving, walking the customer to their assigned table, ensuring they have menus, pouring water as needed, communicating the server’s name and ensuring they are okay with seating. They help to increase customer retention and loyalty by providing fast, reliable and friendly service to all patrons. Assist with cleaning of restaurant, equipment and maintaining supplies,
ensuring compliance with regulations and procedures related to safety, health standards, Fat Calf Brasserie policies and procedures.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensure phone is answered in a timely and professional manner
Work with Floor Manager to ensure voicemails are listened to and addressed and calls are taken in a professional manner
Work with Floor Manager to assign service areas to servers on a fair and consistent basis
Greet guests upon entry, seat customer and communicate server information
Possess ABO, and Responsible Vendor Card
Working knowledge of menu to demonstrate the ability and willingness to provide guests suggestions for food and drinks
Use of professional serving techniques when delivering drinks and food to the customer
Demonstrate effective communication and listening skills to ensure customer satisfaction and to resolve any complaints
Provide information to Serving Assistants to ensure tables are bussed and reset in a timely manner according to upcoming reservation needs or standard seating plan
Communicate with bar and serving staff on a regular basis
Demonstrate willingness to be a team-player
Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas for cleanliness and functionality
Make recommendations for maintenance, repair and upkeep of the restaurant and its equipment to supervisor
Polish flatware, glassware, and other supplies as needed
Complete and assist with additional duties and tasks as required by management
Present yourself in a neat, clean, and professional manner (slip resistant shoes, clean clothes) good personal hygiene, etc.
Comply with health, sanitation, and safety regulations, policies and procedures
Attend staff meetings and other functions as required
Report all equipment issues, violations or substandard practices to your supervisor immediately upon encountering a problem
Qualifications:
Previous restaurant experience preferred
Hard working and dependable individual
Strong time management skills
Strong decision-making skills with ability to be flexible
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers, vendors, and coworkers in a professional manner
Basic understanding of the restaurant business
Strong organizational and time management skills
Possess the ability to multi-task and manage stressful circumstances associated with a fast-paced work environment
Ability to follow instruction and complete assigned tasks with accuracy and in a timely manner
Knowledge of organizational structure, workflow, and operating procedures
Familiar with Industry’s Best Practices
Ability to work both independently as well as in a team environment
Ability to resolve customer complaints and concerns
