Resident Advisor

Implement the mission of TNEC by empowering individuals with tools, resources, and guidance for personal growth, well-being, and autonomy.

Engage with residents living independently through:

Daily skill development & maintenance

Community & Social Activities just as you would do for yourself

Household check-ins

Work/Volunteer Experience

Assist with travel as planned & if/when necessary

Overnight and weekend availability for residents in need of immediate assistance

Assist new enrollees with adjusting into the program(s)

Provide mentorship and regular check-ins as they relate to the residents, hold meetings and informal discussions, and communicate to success.

Work closely with the assistant director to review enrollee progress and support evening learning.

Support & mentor roommates on shared space concerns.

Act as a referral for community resources and engagement.

Attend staff meetings & training.

Ensure that TNEC policies and procedures for a safe environment are followed.

Address any other resident needs for safety and independence.

Additional requirements:

· Attend necessary training (sponsored by TNEC) & and apply skills learned

· Work toward personal and professional goals

· Strong problem-solving skills

· Live on-site in the local apartment complex

· Male preferred

· Organized & self-motivated

· BSW, Special Education credential, behavior provider preferred.

Schedule:

· Monday through Thursday 2pm – 9pm

· Friday 12pm – 4pm

· On-call overnights and weekends

Salary:

· Starting: $61,500

· On-Call: Additional $30/hour
