    Shift Details:

    We are currently searching for a Medication Assistant to join the following shift: 2nd Shift (PRN). Please note, this may change throughout employment as needed with notice.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Providing residents with medication administration and treatment assistance and services according to the health care provider's orders.
    • Adhering to the narcotic and PRN policy of Aviva Senior Living.
    • Reporting any changes in residents' physical condition and/or behaviors.
    • Maintaining resident records regarding medication distribution, leisure activities, incidents, and observations.
    • Following the schedule of the resident's needs set out by the supervisor.
    • Providing emotional and social support to residents.
    • Adhering to all policies and procedures of the community.
    • Fulfilling other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
    • Regular and predictable attendance daily.

    Qualifications, skills, and abilities:

    • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
    • One year of related work experience preferred
    • Skilled in caring for residents with memory impairments and secondary diagnosis.
    • Ability to work with the elderly in a courteous and friendly manner, demonstrating patience and compassion.
    • Ability to safely handle food in accordance with facility policies and procedures, as well as all state and federal regulations
    • Strong knowledge and understanding of state regulations
    • Ability to read and write in English
