We are working with a fantastic client in the Wilmington, NC area searching for a detail-oriented Residential Construction Estimator to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs of residential construction projects, ensuring that all aspects of the project are accounted for, from materials and labor to equipment and timelines. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of construction processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements to prepare detailed cost estimates for residential construction projects.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
• Research and evaluate market conditions, material prices, and labor costs to ensure competitive and accurate pricing.
• Prepare and present detailed proposals and cost breakdowns to clients and stakeholders.
• Monitor project budgets and expenditures throughout the construction process, providing regular updates and adjustments as needed.
• Assist in the selection and negotiation with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Maintain organized records of estimates, bids, and contracts for future reference.
• Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and regulations to ensure compliance and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is a plus but not required. 
  
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
• Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients and team members.
