    Our busy company is seeking an experienced construction estimator to join our team of construction professionals. We need someone with strong math skills and excellent communication skills to write proposals, cost estimates, and detailed takeoffs on our construction projects. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in the residential construction industry, preferably in estimating or project management. We are a luxury remodel company and while we do get involved in some new construction, we are primarily focused on remodeling experience and not just new home construction experience. the position that we are looking to fill is going to be nearly 100% focused on creating detailed pricing estimates for the business owners review. Specific skills that will be required: • Efficiency in reading and understanding construction drawings • Ability to fill in the gaps and accurately estimate projects when no drawings are available • Work within our project management system (Job Tread) to complete accurate and detailed quantity take offs • Work closely with our existing network of trade partners to obtain trade estimates • At times, work would be out of the office as meeting trades on jobsites is commonly required • While this is not an accounting position, accounting skills are required in order to be a successful estimator The salary will be largely based upon a candidates abilities and experience. Responsibilities: • Frequent construction sites to gather necessary client requirement information • Calculate construction materials, product costs, labor, and time to estimate overall cost for construction projects • Furnish accurate and clear quantity takeoff information to provide a detailed list of materials and assess the total construction costs • Evaluate proposals, specifications, blueprints, and construction documents to understand the project as a whole • Interface with the construction project manager to oversee and coordinate the bid process for vendors and subcontractors Qualifications: • Excellent project management, time-management, and communication skills are necessary • Current Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) certification from the American Society of Professional Estimators (ASPE) is desired • Extensive experience in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and construction estimating software • Three years of experience in the construction industry - project estimating or construction management is needed • Possess a Bachelors’ degree in civil engineering, construction management, accounting, or related field Compensation: $80,000
