    Summary of Responsibilities:

    As a Project Lead, you will oversee budgets, timelines, and customer satisfaction while ensuring compliance with building codes and industry standards. You will supervise Carpenters, manage schedules, procure materials, and coordinate client communications. Responsibilities include overseeing Pre-Construction, conducting inspections, providing project updates, and stepping in with hands-on carpentry when needed.

    You will also monitor jobsite quality and safety, maintain inspector relations, review post-construction performance, and support staff training. Enforcing strict on-site safety measures will be a key priority.

    Essential Functions:

    • Oversee daily production activities to meet goals, standards, and budgets.
    • Manage and approve all Change Orders.
    • Approve staffing decisions with Production Manager’s pre-approval.
    • Make purchases within budget and submit approvals as needed.
    • Recommend vehicles, tools, and systems within budget.
    • Be willing and able to step in and perform carpentry work when needed to keep projects on track.

    Routine Functions:

    • Support design team with estimating, feasibility, and process improvements.
    • Plan work, enhance efficiency, and perform expert Carpenter duties as needed.
    • Oversee projects, budgets, schedules, quality, and compliance.
    • Supervise staff, trade partners, and jobsite performance.
    • Approve project scopes, budgets, and change orders.
    • Manage materials, tools, and equipment.
    • Provide project updates and review post-construction performance.
    • Lead Pre-Construction planning and client preparation.
    • Conduct jobsite visits for safety, quality, and code compliance.
    • Enforce safety and train Carpenters and Apprentices.

    Education, Experience, and Skills Required:

    • 2-5 years of experience as a Project Lead, Project Manager, or similar role in residential construction.
    • 5 or more years of hands-on residential construction experience as a carpenter.
    • Must be comfortable with hands-on carpentry work when necessary.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proficient in the use of Google Suite tools and technologies.
    • Valid California State driver’s license and personal vehicle insurance.
    • Able to lift 25 pounds without assistance, and to climb a 6-foot ladder without assistance.
    • Pass background check without incident and pass drug testing.

    Compensation:

    • Salary Range $100,000+
