    Job Description

    A Residential Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of services to the individuals served, including finance, medical, recreation, program services, family contact/involvement, education, and household management. An RC / Lead DSP provides direct support, positive direction, instruction, and assistance to individuals with mental, intellectual & developmental, and physical disabilities. The ultimate goal is to empower individuals with disabilities to live as independently and comfortably as possible while maintaining their dignity and respect.

    _ What You Get to Do:_

    • Provide hands-on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance.
    • Be a Lead for other DSP staff
    • Ensure the comfort, safety, and personal growth of the individuals we serve.
    • Assist with daily living tasks such as moving around, getting in and out of bed, dressing, bathing, personal hygiene and more.
    • Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation.
    • Build relationships with persons served and teammates.
    • Attend special community occasions and fun activities like outdoor walks, games, and social events.
    • Transport persons served to appointments or other activities outside the home.
    • Empower people with disabilities to live life to the fullest.
    • Document progress, milestones, and action steps.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Personal vehicle and liability insurance
    • 1 - 5 years of experience in residential and/or support services for individuals with developmental disabilities
    • Ability to complete thorough documentation
    • Person-centered, patient, and kind
    • Dependable, adaptable, flexible
    • Observant and detail oriented
    • Positive role-model for others and able to work on a team
    • Committed to creating a respectful and collaborative environment
    • 18 years or older, high school diploma/GED, and basic computer skills
    • Successful clearance of a criminal background check for licensing requirement
