  • Responsibilities

    The Site Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a government project located at Ascension Island, ensuring compliance with contract requirements and effective management of all technical and administrative aspects. This role requires a strong background in operational management, leadership, and program oversight. The SM must be available on-site or remotely during emergencies and cannot hold dual roles in other positions. The position entails vendor management, client relations, staff oversight, and compliance with company and contractual standards.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    • Oversee daily technical and administrative operations to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
    • Manage project-related activities, including vendor relations, client communications, and contract modifications.
    • Supervise staff, ensuring optimal personnel management and resource allocation.
    • Prepare and review operational and compliance reports for submission to program leadership.
    • Ensure smooth transitional activities during personnel or process changes.
    • Respond to emergencies promptly and manage crisis situations effectively.
    • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and systems.
    • Provide guidance on security, safety, and operational practices in alignment with government regulations.


    **EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: **

    • A minimum of two (4) years of experience as a Deputy Program Manager or Program Manager.
    • At least six (10) years of relevant experience in managing and performing tasks related to government program operations.
    • Ability to be located at Ascension Island and available physically or remotely during emergencies.


    **LICENSE & CERTIFICATIONS: **

    • Valid US Passport (preferred)
    • Valid US Driver's License with clean driving report.


    **KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: **

    • Prior military experience.
    • Experience in operational management on a military or government base.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • US Citizenship
    • Must be able to meet all current USCENTCOM Deployment Policy Requirements, as outlined in the USCENTCOM APR 23 MOD SEVENTEEN TO USCENTCOM INDIVIDUAL AND INDIVIDUAL-UNIT DEPLOYMENT POLICY.
    • Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.
    • Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
