Summary of Responsibilities

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Interior Designer to join our residential construction team. This role is ideal for a creative professional with a strong eye for design, materials, and space planning who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment. You will work closely with architects, contractors, and clients to create functional, aesthetically pleasing residential spaces that align with project goals, budgets, and timelines.

Essential Functions

• Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, needs, and preferences for residential spaces.
• Develop interior design concepts, mood boards, and material selections.
• Create detailed drawings, 3D visualizations, and floor plans using Chief Architect and other software.
• Select and source materials, finishes, furniture, and fixtures within budget constraints.
• Work closely with architects, engineers, and construction teams to ensure seamless execution of design plans.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure design integrity is maintained.
• Prepare and present design proposals, schedules, and cost estimates.
• Stay updated on the latest design trends, materials, and construction techniques.

Education, Experience, and Skills Required

• 3+ years of experience in interior design
• Bachelor's degree in interior design, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience in residential construction or home remodeling is preferred.
• Proficiency in design software such as Chief Architect, 2020 Design or similar tools.
• Strong knowledge of materials, finishes, and building codes.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to collaborate with clients and project teams.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to problem-solve and adapt designs to construction constraints.

Compensation

• $50,000-$70,000 base salary, depending on experience
