    Summary of Responsibilities

    As a Residential Interior Designer at Bethesda Contracting, you will be overseeing design interior projects from concept to completion. You’ll guide clients through cabinetry layouts, material selections, and budgeting, ensuring both functionality and aesthetics. Collaborating with vendors, subcontractors, and the internal team, you’ll manage project timelines, procurement, and seamless execution. Additionally, you'll stay ahead of design trends, maintain vendor relationships, and support marketing efforts by showcasing completed projects.

    Essential Functions

    • Lead design projects from concept to construction documentation, including floor plans, selections, budgets, and vision boards.
    • Specialize in designing kitchens and bathrooms, including cabinetry layout, material selections, and functionality, while maintaining expertise in whole-home interior design.
    • Meet with clients to understand their vision, present design proposals, and provide expert guidance on cabinetry, materials, and finishes.
    • Collaborate closely with vendors, subcontractors, and the internal team to ensure seamless execution, timely procurement, and high-quality craftsmanship.
    • Utilize Chief Architect and 2020 for drafting, 3D modeling, and creating construction documents tailored to kitchen and bath renovations.
    • Conduct site visits, coordinate subcontractor walkthroughs, and review budget check-ins with estimators and project managers.
    • Stay current on design trends, manage vendor relationships, and contribute to marketing efforts through project photography and social media content.

    Education, Experience, and Skills Required

    • 5+ years in residential interior design or architecture.
    • Experience in designing kitchen and bathroom cabinetry for residential projects.
    • Proficiency in 2020 and Chief Architect.
    • A Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design is a plus;
    • Certified Kitchen & Bathroom Designer (CKBD) is a bonus.

    Compensation 

    • Salary: $90,000 - $115,000 annually
    • Technology: Computer, laptop, and second screen provided
    • 401k plan
    • Bonuses: Based on project performance
