Job Description
The Lead Electrician will work both independently and with other team members to install electrical systems, troubleshoot, and lead residential and some commercial electrical projects. This position requires expert-level knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and project commissioning. The Lead Electrician may also be responsible for overseeing, training, and mentoring less experienced electricians and technicians.
Job Responsibilities
Provide Project Manager with daily project status updates
Maintain accurate project documentation on a daily basis
Conduct site walkthroughs with Project Management, Sales, and Clients
Complete quality control checks to ensure work meets code standards and specifications
Apply project management principles to successfully execute electrical projects on-time and within budget
Exhibit professionalism and provide exceptional customer service at all times
Act as a resource for technical electrical knowledge
Lead the installation of electrical systems including panels, wiring, outlets, and light fixtures
Install smart light switches, smart thermostats, and other connected devices
Conduct advanced troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems
Install and configure standard electrical systems in residential and commercial settings
Coordinate the work of electricians and technicians on projects
Mentor and train less experienced team members to develop their skills
Ensure all work is completed according to local codes and safety standards
Complete required training and certifications and maintain certification levels for all position requirements
Adhere to and maintain company quality standards and safety protocols
Job Requirements (or Comparable Certifications)
Minimum 5 years of residential electrical field experience, with proficiency in all of the previously mentioned responsibilities
High school diploma or GED
Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
Ability to read and comprehend electrical system drawings, floor plans, and job scopes
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks
Self-motivated, task-driven, and able to apply “best practices” theory
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to create on-the-spot solutions
Ability to work overtime as needed and travel overnight for training and installations
Clean background check
Proficiency using hand and power tools, and the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Ability to work on ladders, lifts, and at high elevations

Salary Range - $23/hr - $28/hr (depending on experience)
