Job Summary: The Residential Lead HVAC and Sales Technician combines HVAC service with in-home sales. Responsibilities include diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining HVAC systems while identifying opportunities to upsell services, system upgrades, and replacements. The technician will also conduct sales consultations, create proposals, and close deals on system replacements, ensuring customer satisfaction and business growth. This role requires technical expertise, customer service skills, and a sales-driven approach, with career growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
HVAC Service & Repair:
Diagnose, repair, and service residential HVAC systems (furnaces, ACs, heat pumps, etc.).
Educate customers on system maintenance and provide cost-benefit analyses.
Occasionally perform system installations.
Maintain accurate records and follow company safety protocols.
HVAC Sales & Consultation:
Conduct in-home sales consultations and recommend system upgrades or replacements.
Prepare proposals, estimates, and financing options.
Close 70%+ of generated leads and 50%+ of marketed leads.
Maintain a 95% customer satisfaction rate and 90% call close rate.
Meet or exceed service ticket and monthly revenue goals.
Sell and renew service agreements.
Qualifications:
5+ years of HVAC service experience, including troubleshooting and repairs.
3+ years of in-home sales experience.
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
High school diploma or GED; associate degree preferred.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Ability to pass background check and drug screening.

EPA, TDLR, NATE, and OSHA Certifications
