Sales and Marketing Representative
The Resort Concierge is responsible for providing every new/prospective client with a “wow experience”. As the RC, you will be responsible for responding to lead inquiries, touring, and follow up as an ambassador for the K9 brand. The purpose is to manage leads/new customers from start to finish. K9 Resorts make every person and dog that walks in feel comfortable, confident, and like a VIP. The RC is also the lead representative for their K9 Resort location in proactive grassroots marketing efforts, including but not limited to, showcasing K9 Resorts at local events, building and nurturing relationships with area pet care professionals, coordinating regular special events at the resort, etc.
Essential Job Functions: ● Reports to the Resort Director. ● Very customer service-oriented. ● Serves as the lead contact for prospective clients. ● Owns the sales process from lead follow-up and conversion, conversation, resort tours and closing the sale. ● Consistently tracks lead conversion. ● Follow up (via phone and email) with new clients registration and completion of first reservation. ● The ability to travel and solicit business designated by the marketing plan. ● The ability to contact customers to promote services and foster additional business from repeat customers or referrals. ● Be self-motivated, organized and timely. ● Anticipates our top clients needs and executes above their expectations. ● Visits Pet Professionals, rescue shelters, etc. regularly to nurture relationships and encourage referrals. ● Solicits leads and represents K9 Resorts at local events including festivals, farmer’s markets, pet-centric events, etc. ● Executes corporate discount strategies. ● Stays in touch with current and prospective customers on a regular basis. ● Makes prospecting calls and utilizes other available resources to engage customers and generate sales opportunities. ● Capitalize on sales opportunities with warm leads provided through Scorpion/DirectMail IO and social media platforms. ● Using templates and best practices provided by K9 corporate marketing team, develops and manages a monthly calendar of events at the resort ● Able to use downtime effectively. ● Answers telephone inquiries from new prospective clients.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Job Requirements: ● Fluent in Microsoft Office and well-versed in computer usage. ● Must complete K9 Resorts Certification Program for a Customer Service Representative. ● Prior experience as a Client Relations Representative, Customer Service, Sales, or Consumer-Facing positions. ● Maintain and grows customer base. ● Customer service-oriented. ● Elevated level of professionalism. ● Field marketing and event planning experience a plus
Education and Experience: ● Bachelor’s Degree (Business or Marketing) ● 5+ years of sales experience is required.
Technical Skills: ● Advanced computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Windows ● Advanced knowledge of CRM platforms ● Proficient written and spoken communication skills.
Personal Characteristics: ● Must demonstrate a love for dogs. ● Must be able to communicate with all types of people, remain calm, mediate and problem solve. ● Must be of moral and ethical character. ● High level of emotional intelligence. ● Salesmanship personality and comfort. ● Ability to multitask. ● Strong ability to adapt to change and support company directives. ● A Can-Do - It is my job attitude. ● Outgoing, positive, enthusiastic personality. ● Well-organized and efficient.
Compensation: $70k Salary Base, plus $15K-$20K commission-based bonuses.
