Job Summary
We are seeking a Restaurant / Corporate Dining Sales Representative to join our team! You will spend your time reaching out to restaurant owners, chefs, corporate dining teams to talk about their current needs, take time to understand what they are looking for, building relationships, and communicating the value of our services. You will also manage relationships with existing clients, stay up to date with industry trends. The ideal candidate is a motivated individual with a background in restaurant management, corporate dining, or kitchen operations who understands the industry’s unique needs and challenges..
Responsibilities
Identify and pursue new sales opportunities in the corporate dining, restaurant, and kitchen operations sectors.
Reach out to new and potential clients to form relationships, assess needs, and provide pricing and sales pitches
Build and maintain relationships with prospective and current clients to understand their needs and match them with our service offerings.
Conduct meetings and presentations to demonstrate service benefits, tailoring discussions to the client’s operational requirements.
Provide clients with an understanding of how our services can improve food quality, safety, and operational efficiency.
Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Maintain up-to-date records of client interactions, sales activities, and pipeline development.
Qualifications
Industry Experience and technical knowledge: 3+ years in the food service industry, with a preference for those who have worked directly in restaurants, corporate dining, or kitchen operations. Strong understanding of kitchen operations, including fryer maintenance, oil management, food safety protocols, and sanitation standards. Being able to “talk the kitchen talk” is essential for engaging clients and providing credible, impactful solutions.
Relationship Building: Proven ability to develop and sustain long-term relationships with clients. The ideal candidate will have a natural ability to connect with kitchen staff, managers, and executives, understanding how to communicate with each level to build trust and rapport.
Target Identification & Decision-Maker Engagement: Skill in identifying and prioritizing high-potential clients and stakeholders within target organizations. Ability to pinpoint and connect with the right individuals, including kitchen managers, purchasing agents, and operations decision-makers, to drive meaningful conversations and expedite the sales process.
Client-Centric Approach: Demonstrated skill in identifying client pain points, especially around kitchen efficiency, food quality, and safety. Ability to engage clients in meaningful discussions that focus on solutions to their unique operational challenges.
Preferred Qualifications:
Communication & Sales Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a consultative sales approach. Must be comfortable presenting complex service offerings in a clear, compelling manner to diverse client roles, from chefs to facility managers and C-suite executives.
Resilience & Adaptability: Ability to handle rejection professionally and maintain a positive, proactive attitude. Strong resilience in adapting to feedback, learning from each interaction, and persistently pursuing new opportunities with potential clients.
Local Connections & Mobility: Familiarity with the Bay Area’s food service scene and existing local industry contacts are a plus. Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel within the Bay Area to meet with clients on-site.
