    OUR COMPANY: Founded in 2012 and with offices in Chicago, Cleveland and Raleigh, Restaurant Furniture Plus (http://restaurantfurnitureplus.com) is a leading ecommerce retailer and furniture sourcing service in the restaurant and foodservice industry.

    THE OPPORTUNITY: We are fast growing business and are expanding our inside sales and project team, serving some of the fastest growing restaurant chains in the industry. This will be a work-from–home position, allowing you the flexible work schedule that comes with that. You must have a high-quality, up-to-date computer, mobile phone and high speed internet connection to perform your web-based activities. We are biasing candidates that live near one of our offices. You must be able to work well on your own, with limited oversight in a fast-paced, virtual team environment. This is a full-time position with an opportunity to grow your role as the company expands. If interested in seasonal work only, we would consider hires to help staff up during our key selling season (January to July). We’d love for you to be a part of our friendly, fun team!!

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    Inside Sales & Lead Management: Receive new and existing customer inquiries (via phone, email, and contact form), scope client projects, create proposals and sell our free furniture sourcing service. Put all of the customers’ information and project details into our client database. When not busy fulfilling leads sent to you, you will assist the team in reaching out to new customer prospects.

    Quoting, Closing and Invoicing: Send quotes and invoices to the customers, get the sale to close and make sure first payment is made before submitting order and passing the job to the fulfillment team.

    Project Management: Research items that match the customers’ request and contact suppliers to check on inventory and prices. Place purchase orders with suppliers.

    Relationship Management: Check in with existing customers periodically to see if they need help with any new projects. Keep our clients happy and wanting more.

    Product Management: During slower sales seasons, you may be asked to helping our product team identify new products and suppliers to work with, and get those relationships off the ground and products promoted on our website.

    IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

    • Talk to potential clients to get better understanding of project.
    • Put the client info and project overview into the database.
    • Research items requested by the client.
    • Contact suppliers to secure inventory and pricing.
    • Send proposals, pricings and invoices to clients.
    • Follow up with clients, close sales and collect payments.
    • Submit purchase orders with our suppliers.
    • Work together with the team on improving our processes.
    • Make sure client expectations and internal expectations are aligned.
    • Building strong relationships with our clients.
    • Manage cross-department work and collaborate with all others.
    • Participate in weekly one-on-one meetings with your manager.
    • No travel will be required of this position, other than one-off company meetings.

    YOU MUST HAVE:

    • Comfort and discipline working from home, with limited supervision.
    • Strong sales and relationship building skills with clients.

    NICE TO HAVE:

    • Past experience selling to foodservice industry.
    • Past experience selling furniture and understanding logistics involved.
    • Relationships with restaurants or other foodservice companies.

    COMPENSATION

    • Salary of $50,000-$60,000, give or take, based on experience.
    • Plus opportunities for additional bonuses and sales commissions to add $5K-$20K or more.
    • Vacation time and other incentives after six month anniversary.
