Job Summary:
This position is a pivotal leadership position within the cleaning and restoration industry, responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's operations. This role entails managing daily business activities, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. The Operations Manager will develop strategic plans to drive business growth, manage company resources, and uphold strict compliance with industry standards. With a focus on quality service delivery, the Operations Manager also nurtures client relationships, leads and mentors staff, and optimizes operational processes. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in management, proven industry experience, and relevant certifications such as IICRC. This role is suited for a dynamic leader looking to make a significant impact in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day operations including job estimating, costing & documentation; staffing, scheduling, supervising & inspecting jobs; technician training, inventory/supplies tracking & purchasing; equipment maintenance; record-keeping; and employee relations.
Plan and execute projects to completion; write job estimates and obtain written contracts and payment terms for projects; coordinate estimates from subcontractors.
Train, supervise, discipline & positively engage with staff and contract labor to promote professional development.
Oversee and ensure timely, efficient, consistent and professional delivery of high-quality customer services in accordance with Company and industry standards.
Develop and foster relationships of trust with customers that build brand recognition, promote public awareness and a positive Company reputation.
Provide honest, accurate information & professional advice to customers including recommended v. necessary work, cost and pricing, job timing, scheduling, etc.
Consistently meet or exceed Company targets for COGs, job costing, direct labor, quality and customer satisfaction.
Maintain efficient and accurate flow of production paperwork from job site to administration.
Coordinate resource planning of technicians, laborers, and subcontractors with scheduler.
Track equipment used on company jobs; order materials required for projects and coordinate delivery to the job site.
Maintain strategic relationships with vendors and subcontractors.
Qualifications:
Preference given to candidates with experience in managing cleaning and mitigation projects in water and mold.
Proficient technical skills, experience, and certifications in areas of service Company provides. Possession of 3 or more of the following industry certifications (IICRC or equivalent) is a plus: Water Restoration Technician (WRT), Applied Structural Drying Technician (ASD), Carpet Cleaning Technician (CCT), Anti-Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT), Fire & Smoke Restoration Technician (FSRT), Trauma & Crime Scene Technician (TCST).
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in computers, software applications, the internet, and industry-specific technology including CRMs, project management software, 3-D rendering applications, MS Word, Excel, etc.
Appropriate math and financial skills: demonstrated ability to prepare job budgets, translate scopes of work into manpower planning, project completion times, materials purchasing, etc.
Effective in receiving feedback and input from customers and employees, seeking out additional information or unspoken issues, and providing timely responses.
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Write clear, precise, well-organized emails, proposals, etc. using appropriate vocabulary and word usage, proper grammar & punctuation.

Valid driver’s license, clean driving record & insurable driver.
Effective written and oral communication in English with basic math and computer skills.
Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs regularly, up to 100lbs with assistance.
Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces, sit/stand/walk for prolonged periods of time, repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects, work with/around cleaning products/chemicals.
Ability to work overtime as needed.
Ability to travel locally & out of state occasionally.
Ability to successfully complete a background check subject to applicable law.
Being part of an on-call rotation schedule.
