Summary:
The Restoration Technician performs restoration processes to fulfill the service needs of individual restoration projects and maintains the professional appearance of SERVPRO equipment as well as an assigned service vehicle. By providing quality, consistent, efficient work, the restoration technician represents the best in the cleanup and restoration industry.
Primary Responsibilities:
Inventory and load the work vehicle with equipment, products, and supplies needed for each project. Maintain a clean and organized vehicle and clean equipment appearance.
Prepare rooms/areas for work activities. Set up staging area and equipment for each project.
Perform restoration processes as directed.
Adhere to safety and risk management guidelines at all times.
Communicate with supervisor and other technicians to maintain efficient restoration processes.
Perform end-of-day/end-of-job cleanup and breakdown. Leave jobsite with a clean and orderly appearance.
Maintain an organized warehouse space. Clean and maintain the warehouse, office, and grounds, as assigned.
Develop restoration expertise in services, cleaning products, and equipment.
Other tasks/duties as required by employer.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Valid driver's license
High school diploma/GED preferred
IICRC certifications preferred
Experience in cleaning, restoration, or construction preferred
Strong work ethic
Strong oral communication skills
Physical and Work Environment Requirements:
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance
Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics)
Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects
Ability to work with/around cleaning agents
Normal Working Hours, Additional Working Hours and Travel Requirements This is a full-time position with standard hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, totaling 40 hours per week, along with on-call responsibilities. During periods of high demand, extended hours and additional workdays may be necessary to meet customer needs. This role often requires working more than 8 hours a day, including some evenings and weekends. Travel is primarily local, though occasional out-of-area and overnight travel may be required.
