Job Overview: ****Delivery of direct services to clients and also necessary indirect services for program development.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible to provide direct restorative conversations with referred students at school.
- Responsible for providing re-entry conversations with student, parent, and climate and culture specialists.
- Responsible for running and/or supervising peace circles within the school.
- Responsible for promoting Trauma Sensitive / Restorative Justice Practices; acting as a liaison and an ambassador for the program by promoting the program principles;
- Responsible for preparing case notes and written reports as required. Responsible for documenting all client services.
- Responsible for attending all mandatory in-services, trainings, and staff meetings.
- Responsible to work in collaborative team efforts with other local agencies, schools, Lake County Probation, and the Department of Children and Family Services.
- Present to outside agencies and community groups as needed/directed.
- Responsible to assume other tasks as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Possession of a minimum of a Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a behavioral or social science (social welfare, sociology, psychology, counseling, and guidance, social work, etc.).
- Must have a working knowledge of trauma and its impact on youth, as well as Trauma-Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
- Must be trained in (or willing to be trained in) Restorative Practices.
