    Position Overview: Nina Construction Supply is looking for a knowledgeable and customer-focused Counter Sales Associate with concrete industry experience to join our team. As a Sales Associate, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, assisting them with product selection, providing expert advice on concrete and construction materials, and ensuring outstanding customer experience. This role requires a strong understanding of concrete products, a passion for helping customers, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Greet customers upon arrival and provide friendly, knowledgeable service related to concrete products and materials.

    Assist customers in identifying their concrete and construction needs, recommending appropriate products, and providing solutions for their projects.

    Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, handling payments and maintaining customer records.

    Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales counter and product displays.

    Collaborate with the inventory team to monitor stock levels, ensuring products are available for customer orders.

    Work closely with the dispatch team to coordinate timely deliveries of concrete materials.

    Advise customers on proper concrete mixing, application, and curing techniques based on their specific needs.

    Keep up to date with industry trends, new concrete products, and best practices to provide expert guidance to customers.

    Address customer concerns and complaints in a professional, positive manner, ensuring customer satisfaction.

    Follow safety protocols and company procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.

    Qualifications:

    High school diploma or equivalent (required).

    Previous experience in counter sales, preferably in the concrete, construction, or building materials industry (required).

    Strong knowledge of concrete materials, mixes, additives, and construction tools.

    Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with contractors, homeowners, and other customers.

    Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.

    Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic office software (Microsoft Office, etc.).

    Valid driver’s license (preferred, for occasional delivery coordination).

    Other Skills and Abilities:

    Ability to lift and carry products up to 50 lbs.

    Strong problem-solving skills with a solution-oriented mindset.

    Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a constantly evolving industry.

    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.

    Knowledge of safety standards related to concrete and construction materials.

    Physical Demands:

    Ability to stand for extended periods and move throughout the store.

    Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver up to 50 lbs.

    Must be able to bend, twist, and reach to retrieve products or assist customers.

    Occasional use of equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (training provided).

    Work Environment:

    A fast-paced retail environment with frequent customer interaction.

    Exposure to concrete products, dust, and construction materials.

    Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor conditions, depending on customer needs and weather.

    Personal protective equipment (PPE), such as gloves and safety shoes, may be required for certain tasks.

    Normal Business Hours:

    Summer Hours - Monday to Friday: 5:00 AM – 3:00 PM

    Winter Hours – Monday to Friday 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM

    Occasional overtime may be required based on business needs.
