This role requires strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of building materials. You'll oversee sales, manage inventory, supervise staff, and ensure smooth store operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive sales through exceptional customer service and product recommendations.
- Assist customers with inquiries, orders, and tailored advice for their projects.
- Promote and upsell related products to meet sales targets.
- Supervise and train retail staff to maintain high service standards.
- Manage staff scheduling to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
- Foster a positive team environment focused on customer satisfaction.
- Oversee inventory management, including stocking, organization, and restocking.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of building materials to reduce waste.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment.
- Implement promotional activities and merchandising strategies.
- Address customer complaints professionally to ensure satisfaction.
- Build long-term customer relationships through personalized service.
- Assist with financial transactions and daily sales reports.
- Track stores performance metrics, such as sales targets and customer feedback.
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a degree in Business Management, Retail, or a related field is a plus.
- Preferred experience in retail management or similar roles in building materials, home improvement, or hardware stores.
- Skills in sales, inventory management, and team leadership are valuable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Basic computer skills, including point-of-sale systems and inventory software.
- Knowledge of building materials and tools for construction and home improvement projects is desirable.
