    About the Role:

    We are looking for a Retail Officer to join our team at TNBANK in Oak Ridge, TN. As a Retail Officer, you will play a key role in providing exceptional customer service and driving sales in our retail banking environment.

    Responsibilities:

    Contribute to the overall success of the branch by achieving sales targets and providing excellent customer service

    Manages all aspects of retail banking including personnel, sales, service, operational efficiency, product development, technology, and compliance

    Develops and executes a deposit strategy to achieve growth goals in terms of deposit growth and cost of funds

    Reviews and controls the branches operating costs to maintain cost control

    Generates new business relationships and expansion of existing business relationships, primarily through outside sales efforts. Develops prospects through professional referrals, bank referrals, and community involvement.

    Provides strategic leadership to promote a profitable sales experience across all markets while increasing customer value.

    Collaborates and aligns Retail Banking with BSA, Bank Operations, Compliance/Internal Audit, and other partners as appropriate, to create, enhance, and maintain current procedures for retail banking.

    Participates in community organizations/activities/events. Enhances the image and protects the well-known reputation of the Bank.

    Promotes a culture of outstanding employee performance through ongoing engagement and talent development to improve retention and build a roster of future leaders.

    Coaches team members at both the individual and team level to improve retail banking performance.

    Assists in training and retention of high-quality employees committed to a culture of best-in-class customer service.

    Adheres to policies, procedures, and regulatory banking requirements.

    Actively communicates matters of potential audit or compliance risk.

    Ensures confidentiality of client information by practicing all security processes, training, and coaching with respect to confidentiality policies and ensuring that all physical security measures are in place and functioning properly, including locks, computer access, and key access.

    Responsible for knowing and following all bank policies and procedures, including the Bank’s BSA/AML program and applicable state and federal laws. This includes completing compliance training and adhering to internal procedures and controls; reporting any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations; and reporting any suspicious client and/or account activity. Promotes ethical environment by modeling integrity and requiring ethical behaviors from colleagues.

    Requirements:

    Prior experience in retail banking or customer service role

    Strong communication and interpersonal skills

    Self-starter with the confidence to deal effectively with a growth oriented team with the ability to manage outside counsel in an effective manner.

    Must be able to go out on sales calls to businesses.

    Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

    High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred

    5 years retail banking experience including detailed knowledge of retail banking employee management, sales, service, operations, products, digital banking strategies, and compliance
