Meet Some of Our Local Team Leaders:

Evonne Gorka – Merchandising Manager (Northeast OH)

Evonne Gorka is entering her fourth season with KGS, having spent two years as a Lead with Meijer stores before stepping into her current role as a Merchandising Manager, overseeing 16 stores, including both Walmart and Meijer locations. Prior to KGS, Evonne worked as a Crew Leader for a landscaping company and a Visual Manager and Designer at a garden center. Her passions include family, design, and gardening, and she enjoys experimenting with new gardening techniques while integrating design elements into her outdoor spaces.

Rochelle Wagner – Merchandising Manager (Northeast OH)

Rochelle Wagner joined KGS in January 2019 as a Merchandising Manager for Northeast Ohio. Before this, she worked as a Retail Supervisor of Events, where she managed retail setups for various events. Rochelle enjoys spending time with her two pugs and is committed to helping her parents maintain their home, reflecting her deep care for both family and home upkeep.

Nick- Regional Manager ( Northeast OH)

Nick is a Regional Manager with KGS, having been with the company for 10 years. Before joining KGS, he gained experience in retail management and retail merchandising. Outside of work, Nick is passionate about gardening, hiking, camping, lounging by the pool, catching a tan, and enjoying the outdoors.

Barbara Gillium - Merchandising Manager

A new Merchandising Manager at Kalamazoo Garden Solutions with 20 years of experience in plant merchandising and team building. Passionate about hiking, running, gardening, landscaping, and spending quality time with farm animals, grown children, and 5 grandchildren. Dedicated to creating strong, motivated teams that are enthusiastic about their work.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and arrange visually appealing plant displays to attract customers and promote sales.

Ensure that products are stocked, organized, and accessible.

Monitor inventory levels and communicate with store management for restocking needs.

Assist with plant care, including watering and general upkeep.

Work collaboratively with the team to ensure a high standard of display and plant health.

Position Requirements:

City of Residence: Candidates must live in close proximity to our local client retail service location(s), which will be confirmed during the pre-interview process.

Reliable Transportation: Reliable transportation is required to commute to work.

Flexible Schedule: A commitment of at least 2 days per week for 4-hour shifts is required. Additional shifts may be available upon request.

Physical Fitness: Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, push, pull, and remain active for the duration of their shift.

Qualifications:

Prior merchandising or retail experience is a bonus.

Must be able to work independently and with a team.

Ability to hold a schedule and be organized.

Reliability is essential.

Strong customer service oriented attitude.
