Targeted HR Consulting is hiring on behalf of a highly respected Full-Service General Contractor with over 30 years of experience and a 90% client repeat rate. Specializing in retail, commercial, institutional, and industrial projects, our client is experiencing rapid growth and has a strong backlog of work—especially in Florida.

We’re looking for a Senior Superintendent with ground-up retail experience, ideally including tilt-wall construction and Big Box Retail (Walmart strongly preferred but not required). Projects include a mix of remodels, expansions, and new construction of strip malls, grocery stores, and other retail environments.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead and manage all on-site construction operations

• Coordinate field staff, subcontractors, materials, and inspections

• Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and at a high level of quality

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant job site

• Prepare daily and safety reports, manage final punch lists

• Conduct weekly progress meetings with all trades

• Support project management team in reviewing job costs, subcontractor scopes, and project documentation

• Review and provide input on submittals, plans, and specifications

• Maintain strong communication with customers, contractors, and vendors

• Travel within Florida for assigned projects (some night work may be required)

What You Bring:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in ground-up retail construction

• Hands-on experience with Big Box Retail, grocery, tilt-wall, and strip mall projects

• Proficiency in scheduling, field supervision, safety, and quality control

• OSHA 30 certification preferred (or ability to obtain upon hire)

• Strong working knowledge of construction sequencing, logistics, and job site setup

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

• Excellent communication and leadership skills

• Ability to manage fast-paced projects and resolve issues quickly

• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within Florida

• Authorized to work in the U.S. – no sponsorship available
