Job Summary
We are seeking a service-oriented, resourceful, and responsible Retail Sales Associate to join our team! As a Sales Associate, you will assist customers with their shopping needs and ensure an excellent shopping experience. Responsibilities may include working the register, stocking shelves, processing inventory/ordering inventory, assembling and/or demonstrating equipment for customers, troubleshooting/repairing equipment, and maintaining the store’s overall appearance and presentation. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in customer service and knowledge of cash register operation.
Responsibilities
Greet each customer with a smile and provide assistance while they are shopping. Including assembly and demonstration of walkers, rollators, wheelchairs and more
Follow all safety and loss prevention procedures.
Assist customers with carrying out/loading their purchases
Collect payments by cash and credit card at a point of sale register
Issue receipts and refunds to customers according to company policy
Take added responsibility for stocking, inventory, and store maintenance, opening/closing.
Drive sales by building relationships with our clients and following up to help with their ongoing needs.
Develop and maintain solid product knowledge in order to best help customers with their selections,.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate has a blend of technical ability and strong interpersonal skills
High School Diploma or equivalent
Ability to read, count, write, and communicate clearly and effectively
Ability to quickly and accurately work a register, maintain detailed records, search for answers to ambiguous questions, answer phones in a professional manner, and pays close attention to details.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule (our typical schedule is 9 a.m. to 6:30p.m. Monday - Friday and 9:30 a.m. - 4p.m. on Saturdays; we are closed Sundays).
Ability to reach overhead, bend, squat, kneel, and carry products in order to perform and cover all work duties such as to demonstrate the equipment to customers as well as bring items from back of store to show customers, etc.. Ability to stand for extended periods of time, lift up to 75 lbs, demonstrate the equipment to customers as well as bring items incoming shipments to put away and carry from back of store to show customers, etc.
MUST BE caring, patient, and comfortable working with seniors and people with disabilities or illness.
