Job Title: Retail Sales Specialist - Swimming Pool Retail Store

Overview: As a Retail Sales Specialist at our swimming pool retail store, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and assisting customers with their swimming pool product needs. This position requires a friendly and outgoing personality, a passion for swimming pools, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities:

Customer Service: Greet customers warmly as they enter the store and assist them with product inquiries, recommendations, and purchases. Provide expert advice on swimming pool chemicals, equipment, accessories, and maintenance.

Product Knowledge: Develop a thorough understanding of our product offerings, including features, benefits, and usage instructions. Stay informed about new products, promotions, and industry trends to better assist customers.

Sales: Actively engage with customers to identify their needs and recommend appropriate products to meet those needs. Upsell and cross-sell additional products and accessories to enhance the customer's shopping experience and maximize sales.

Merchandising: Maintain a visually appealing store environment by ensuring merchandise displays are organized, clean, and well-stocked. Assist with restocking shelves, arranging product displays, and updating signage as needed.

Transaction Processing: Accurately process customer transactions using the point-of-sale system. Handle cash, credit card, and other forms of payment in accordance with store policies and procedures.

Customer Follow-Up: Follow up with customers after their purchase to ensure satisfaction and address any questions or concerns they may have. Provide assistance with product warranties, returns, and exchanges as necessary.

Store Maintenance: Assist with general store maintenance tasks, including cleaning, tidying shelves, and organizing storage areas. Ensure that the store is kept clean, safe, and welcoming for customers at all times.

Qualifications:

Previous retail sales experience, preferably in a similar industry.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Passion for swimming pools and knowledge of swimming pool products preferred.

Strong customer service orientation with the ability to assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced retail environment.

Basic math skills and proficiency in using a computerized point-of-sale system.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
