Trade Routes is Tulsa’s premier location for buying and selling the most popular trading card games – Magic the Gathering and Pokémon. Our business began online, buying and selling large singles collections. We’ve also established a rapidly growing retail storefront in midtown Tulsa. We are very excited to expand our team with highly skilled and passionate individuals who share our vision to expand the TCG hobby in Tulsa. As TCGs continue to surge in popularity, we're excited to expand our team in 2025! We are looking for an outgoing and energetic team member who is excited about bringing people together for events and building community.
Position Summary
We're seeking an enthusiastic Retail Associate & Event/Social Media Coordinator to handle day-to-day retail operations while also taking the lead on planning events and managing our social media presence. This is an opportunity for someone who loves trading card games and wants to help grow a thriving gaming community.
Key Responsibilities
Retail Operations:
Provide excellent customer service on the retail floor, assisting customers with product inquiries and purchases.
Restock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure the store is clean and welcoming.
Operate the cash register and process transactions accurately.
Event Coordination:
Plan, organize, and oversee in-store and online events such as tournaments, game nights, and special promotions.
Work with staff and participants to ensure events run smoothly.
Collaborate with the management team to create unique and engaging event concepts.
Social Media & Communication:
Create engaging posts for social media platforms, promoting events, new products, and community highlights.
Respond to customer inquiries and comments on social platforms promptly and professionally.
Track social media performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications
Passion for trading card games: Knowledge of Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon TCG, or similar games is a must.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience in event planning or retail is a plus.
Proficiency with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) and basic content creation tools.
Ability to work evenings and weekends, as many events occur during these times.
