Boone’s Butcher Shop is currently seeking a full-time Wholesale/Retail Administrator. This position is responsible for ensuring administrative duties throughout the company (retail & wholesale/custom processing) are completed thoroughly and in a timely manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Customer service: Respond to customer questions/orders via phone, email, social media, run retail register as needed, complete pick lists/box orders during peak times, provide customer service if customer expectations are not met. Complete root cause analysis for customer complaints/trends.
Create pork/beef/lamb invoices, including quality control efforts (ground beef, pork, etc.), curing weights (bacon, ham, etc.) and checking those against freezer pick list accuracy, take harvest appointments for beef/hog/lamb over the phone, send processing information packet as needed to new customers, help customer service manager input cutting instructions for beef, pork, lamb, or goat as needed, input weekly beef processing weights, contact customers to let them know their orders are ready for pick-up. Check processing email for any correspondence and addressing/responding to them in order depending on urgency/importance.
Invoicing: Creating invoices in the computer system for retail and wholesale items. Assist in managing cold storage by ensuring timely customer pickup of products and managing order software to reflect all open, ready and picked-up orders.
Accounts Receivable: keeping track of receipts/invoices for customers with charge accounts, ensuring they are entered into our POS system accurately, sending monthly statements and following up with said customers in the event of non-payment.
Correspond with technology/service vendors as needed to rectify any service needs or issues.
Other duties as assigned by management/owners.
Other responsibilities include:
Notify the plant manager of any equipment issues.
Make suggestions regarding policies/procedures if needed.
Prioritize tasks by deadline/order of importance.
Maintain positive work relationships with coworkers.
Ability to switch between tasks quickly
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in retail
Knowledge of Microsoft Office
Some knowledge in livestock processing is a plus
