Position Overview
The Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing and streamlining AR processes. This position requires extensive experience with diverse commercial payers, Medicaid, and Medicare. The AR Manager will lead a team, train onsite staff, and develop customized training materials to ensure operational excellence. This role ensures timely payments, minimizes outstanding balances for SNF and LTC clients, and maintains compliance with federal, state, and payer-specific regulations.
Key Responsibilities
AR Oversight & Management:
- Manage and streamline AR processes, including billing, collections, and payment posting.
- Ensure compliance with payer guidelines and regulations across commercial payers, Medicaid, and Medicare.
- Monitor KPIs to assess AR performance and implement improvement strategies.
Accounts Receivables Management:
- Monitor and manage accounts receivable portfolios to ensure timely payment collections.
- Review aged accounts receivable reports and address outstanding claims and balances.
- Identify and resolve payment discrepancies, denials, and delays.
Billing and Claims Oversight:
- Oversee the submission of accurate claims to Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, and other payers.
- Supervise billing statement preparation for private-pay residents.
- Address claim rejections and resubmit corrections promptly.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of AR specialists.
- Cultivate a collaborative and high-performance culture within the AR department.
Training & Development:
- Create and customize training materials for AR team members and client staff.
- Provide remote and onsite training to enhance understanding of AR processes and payer-specific guidelines.
Client Management:
- Understand client needs, goals, and challenges to tailor solutions effectively.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships through proactive engagement.
- Identify opportunities to expand services and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare regular AR reports and provide updates on financial trends, cash flow, and challenges.
- Analyze collection data to identify trends and recommend process improvements.
Travel Requirements
- Flexibility to work across multiple time zones and with diverse teams is essential.
- Travel may be required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, finance, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in AR management with a focus on commercial payers, Medicaid, and Medicare.
- Proficiency in managing AR operations across multiple states with varying Medicaid policies and payer regulations.
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing AR teams.
- Exceptional training and presentation abilities.
- Willingness to travel to client and onsite locations as required.
