    Job Description

    NBC Sports Next, an NBC Universal company, is hiring a Revenue Planning Analyst. This role will support the revenue planning and strategic analysis efforts within NBC Sports Next, focusing primarily on the Youth & Rec Sports (YRS) business.

    The role will support the long-range planning and annual budget process for our service and subscription brands within the YRS business as well as assist with building revenue enhancing strategies.

    The ideal candidate will be comfortable analyzing large datasets in Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, Amazon Redshift SQL, and working with models in Microsoft Excel to create executive level summaries of key trends and manage revenue models to support strategic decision making within our various Operations teams.

    Job Duties

    • The Revenue Planning Analyst will assist in long-range planning, monthly forecasting, and various ad-hoc requests across the Youth & Rec Sports businesses at NBC Sport Next.
    • Help translate and distribute internal operating revenue goals for various internal stakeholders to maintain and enhance cooperation and improve ability to achieve overall budgetary goals.
    • Assist in developing revenue-enhancing strategies by utilizing SQL to package data and build Excel-based revenue models to drive optimal decision making.
    • Create or enhance automated Tableau dashboards to provide visibility into the performance of NBC Sports Next for Direct-to-Consumer, Sales, Marketing, and Executive leadership.
    • Regularly communicate business insights and performance trends with internal business leaders to include, but not limited to, leaders from D2C, Sales, Marketing, and Finance.

    Basic Requirements

    • BS/BA degree in Business Analytics, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Decision Sciences, Management Science, or a related field
    • Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions. Optimize existing SQL queries for performance and scalability.
    • A minimum of 1+ years of financial or revenue/sales planning & analysis experience
    • Strong critical thinking, problem solving skills and ability to work through complex problems
    • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
    • Self-starter with a passion for data and using it to drive insights for our businesses
    • Demonstrate a passionate drive for continuous learning and professional growth

    Desired Qualifications

    • Advanced skills in Excel and SQL as well as reporting tools like Tableau, R, Business Objects, etc. preferred

    Additional Job Requirements

    • This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
    • Must be willing to work in the Orlando, FL office
